San Diego Fire responded to reports of a vehicle over the side on eastbound Hwy 52 just west of Mast boulevard. The first in units from San Diego found a Ford Expedition approximately 100 ft over the side and called for additional equipment to assist. Santee Fire responded under mutual aid with a rescue and an engine while County Copter 1 arrived at scene. Two victims were transported to a local hospital by copter 1 with unknown injuries. The cause of the incident is under investigation at this time.
