Fire on Fury |

A brush fire broke out just before noon near Cuyamaca collage and Fury in the Rancho San Diego area immediately threatening hundreds of homes. Quick response of several agencies including Heartland, CDF and Air resources including Copter 1 and CDF fixed wing and helicopter 303 prevented what could have been a very costly fire down to approximately 75 acres. The fire still under investigation is thought to have been started by two children playing with fire. Listen to part of an interview with San Miguel Battalion Chief Sumrow HERE
